If you are associated with a non-profit group, (That is us!) there’s a wonderful opportunity for you to raise money for that organization, during the Fargo Marathon!
The Fargo Marathon, which will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 2010, is in need of a few hundred volunteers to help with traffic control, throughout the entire course of the marathon. Hours available are 6:30a – 12:30p. There are opportunities available in North Fargo, downtown Fargo, South Fargo and Moorhead, so you can pick where you’d like to be “stationed” at. Persons interested in helping out with this function, will be responsible for: monitoring intersections for potential traffic and/or pedestrian-related issues; ensuring that runners stay on the right course; and providing encouragement and support to the runners. Training is provided prior to race day, so you’ll know exactly what you need to do when the big day arrives. NOTE: You must be 17 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult.
